We are interested in staying in either Siena or Assisi April 13 - 18 and are having a hard time finding availability. We won't have a car and hope to take tours that will pick us up at our hotel and day trips on public transportation. Any suggestions? We don't want to stay in Florence because of the crowds over Easter. Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure there will be Easter crowds in Assisi as well. Have you checked booking.com?

Booking.com seems to have quite a few available for this dates at various prices and various locations. You did not state how many of you there were so this was a quick check for two adults and one room. I would just search multiple sites.
