Hi, I need recommendations as where to stay in Sienna. I will only be staying there for one night. Any suggestions?
Kimberly,
How about the Grand Hotel Continental http://www.royaldemeure.com/en/grand_hotel_continental/storia.htm
or
The Alma Domus http://www.hotelalmadomus.it/
As you can see a little more information on your needs is required.
alma domus worked for us. good luck :):)
We just recently got back and had a nice stay at Il Chiostro del Carmine Residence. There is no elevator so you will need to walk some flights with your luggage. Also included was a very nice breakfast. http://www.chiostrodelcarmine.com/en/index.jsp
I've used the Alma Domus three times--simple, safe, conveniently-located, and inexpensive.
We just got back and stayed at Albergo Bernini and highly recommend it. We took a room with a shared bath and it worked out fine.
I second the Albergo Bernini--we had a nice stay there--if you're only staying one night it's not too far from the train or bus station--their website gives specific instructions about the best bus to take to get there. http://www.albergobernini.com/index.html
I'll be the fourth to recommend Albergo Bernini. Get there early enough and you can pick your own room. We got the room facing the Duomo, magnificent view and the staff was super friendly.
Kimberly,
I'd also recommend Albergo Bernini. The owners are wonderful and it's in a great location.
Happy travels!
I'll be fifth to recommend Albergo Bernini. It was one of my favorite hotels of my Italy trip. The rooftop terrace is amazing.
