We will be arriving in Rome Next month and will spend 6 days in Tuscany visiting small towns. I want to drop the car off in Florence and will then train to Venice to meet up with some people. Where is the best place or company to return the car in Florence. I keep reading about the utl zones.
What are your suggestions please? W drove in France a year ago and had a great time. Any o5er words of wisdom for Italy?
We picked up a car in Florence from Auto Europe and left the city (on a Sunday morning). I remember the area around the rental agency as being very congested and confusing but the traffic was light leaving the city because of the day of the week. The location where we picked up our car, since we were leaving the city, was right in town. Maybe if you are leaving the car on the way into Florence you could leave it at the airport (or at an outlying train station) and then travel by train into the city center??
This is where all car rental returns are near the station. Set your Google Maps and you will get there. Google is smart and knows where the ZTL cameras are. If tech companies were able to convince Americans to elect Trump, they know how to get you there safely.
