Can anyone recommend a B&B or an apartment for 2 people in the Piazza Navona or Pantheon areas? I want something with A/C & not too noisy yet central to restaurants, etc. I found a great B&B but had to cancel because the owners have cats & my husband is deathly allergic to cats/dogs so I'm on the hunt for another accomodation. I'd like to keep the price under the $200/night rate. I welcome any suggestions. Thanks.
For rentals by owner in those two neighborhoods, click on this link:http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/europe/italy/latium-lazio/romeThe link should open up on a page where you can click Navona and Pantheon.
Residenza Navona First. Good quality, clean, dead center historic, AC, cheap.
We just stayed in an apartment 2 blocks north of Piazza Navona (on Viccolo de Soldati) we rented it for 100 Euros per night through www.rentalinrome.com, it was the Domus Camilla Loft. It wasn't a loft, an efficiency on the ground floor. Somewhat noisy, but with the air on, it was fine. Very convenient.
The B & B Danilo is in Trestevere, right on the main road (but the apartments are not overlooking the street). It is much quiter than Navonna or Pantheon areas.
I almost forgot about the apartment where we stayed the first time we were in Rome. It's literally about 20 steps from the Residenza Navona First which I mentioned in a previous reply. The apartment's website is:

It is a fantastic apartment, but be aware that it has no elevator.
