Need advice!! We'll be in Italy for 2 in early June: Milan>Naples>Capri>Portofino>Lake Como

We did the Amalfi coast, Positano and Ravello last year (although we only had 9 hrs. with a private driver) as we were cruising. We're now doing a 2 week land trip. We're struggling to decide if we should stay 3 nights in Capri and 3 nights in Sorrento or 4/2 or possibly even the full 6 nights in Capri. Is it reasonable to ferry from Capri twice (one day to Pompeii for a guided tour and one day cruising the Amalfi coast shoreline) just for the sake of not changing hotels? We would actually be leaving Capri three times taking into account, day 7 we're flying out of Naples to Genoa.

Next dilemma...
After our 1st 6 nights, we fly up to Genoa and have arranged a private transfer to Santa Margherita Ligure for 3 nights before moving on via train to spend 3 nights in Bellagio on Lake Como. In your opinions, does 3/3 in these areas sound reasonable or would it be a safer bet to pass on Santa Margherita Ligure and head right to Lake Como for 6 nights? We will be spending our last night at an airport hotel in Milan before flying back to Miami.

Is it worth all the moving around in 2 weeks or is it too much? We enjoy sight seeing and traveling but we don't move too early in the morning and prefer a slower, relaxed pace.

I'm grateful for your insight!

This is one time that I would say change hotels. I wouldn't want to be tied to ferry times (or prices) to do day trips from Capri, but if you want to spend the quieter times of the day on Capri, I would stay there for 2 nights and then do your day trip days on the mainland.

I would think 6 nights in Capri is about 3 nights too many. So I would move around, same for any location.
