We are going to Poggi Bonsi (just south of Florence) for three weeks next month. was trying to rent a car in Pongi Bonsi but it seems AAA travel here only works with Hertz and they are only at the Airport. No better luck with AMEX travel services. I do not usually drive in Europe but want to this time. Any advice on car rental in Poggi Bonsi would be much appreciated.

Poggibonsi is one word. The name is funny sounding enough as is, even to Italians, don't make it worse.
Major rental companies are available in Florence and Siena only in that area. Hertz has 3 locations in Florence, one of which at the airport (however the city locations are cheaper).
Go to the consolidator www.autoeurope.com and rent one. They get better prices than directly from the rental companies. All major companies are present in nearby Florence, however you will notice in the Autoeurope website that Europcar has generally better prices.
