We will staying in Sorrento in June and would like to day trip to Naples and are considering a local guide. There are 2 names in Rick's book. Has anyone used them or know of any other reputable guides? Appreciate any recommendations. Thanks Barb

Barb, I can't recall which Guides are listed in the Guidebook, but if one of them is Pina, she's a fantastic Guide. She provided an excellent tour of the Archeological Museum in Naples, and I believe she also provides tours of Pompeii. Cheers!

Thanks Ken. Pina is one mentioned in the RS book. Do you remember how long your tour was and how much she charged.

Barb, The only tour I've taken with Pina was the Archeological Museum in Naples, and as I recall it took about 1 - 2 hours. You'll have to contact her for current pricing, but THIS website may provide an indication. The cost may seem high, but she's an excellent Guide with a wealth of knowledge so pricing is fair (IMHO).
