Need a new Umbria tour

We want to do a week in Umbria, but don't want to rent a car in Italy.
How to suggest to Rick Steves' to create such a tour.

Hopefully, it would include Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, Perugia and Giotto. Perhaps Orvieto?

I would suggest you to begin your journey in the capital city of Umbria, Perugia, from Perugia, take a short train or bus ride to Assisi, next, travel to the picturesque town of Spello and consider adding a day trip to Orvieto. Also, Spoleto is accessible by train from Perugia and is very beautiful.

Sarah Murdoch (former RS guide) has an Umbria tour.

Elizabeth Minchilli (an American who has lived in Italy for 30+ years) has a tour in Umbria. Sorry I can't add a link as an error message prevents me from accessing her website at the moment.

Thanks Mary,
The tour is expensive and only visits three cities.

Looking forward to what Rick comes up with.

I'll be the first to sign up if and when Rick Steves creates an Umbria tour!

This Road Scholar tour includes most of those towns, plus Siena and Montalcino in Tuscany, in 10 days rather than a week.

Or this one covering Spello, Spoleto, Perugia, Assisi and 2 more you didn’t mention in a week:

They list more days, but I do not count the “in transit” overnight flight day, nor the departure day, when I look at tours; just the actual days of the guided tour.

We visited Puglia with them last March and they did a great job.

I am glad you like the suggestion. I hope it works out well for you.

We have previously only taken tours with very small groups (up to 12) focused on strenuous hiking every day—-places like Patagonia, Tour du Mont Blanc, Dolomites off the beaten path, etc. Never a “bus tour” like Rick Steves offers. But we wanted to visit and explore Puglia, without a car. The Road Scholar tour turned out to be much better than I imagined—-very nice accommodations, excellent food, a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, fascinating sites to visit, and fellow tour members who were interesting and fun to be with. The cultural and educational aspects of the area are the focus of their tours, and our guide handled all that very well, with short lectures and video aids before and after visiting sites, or on our way on the bus.

We were the only “first timers” on the tour; everyone else had done one or more ( in some cases many more) previously. Repeat customers always speak well of an organization. (I know RS has similar loyalty).
