I have been attempting to secure a reservation to visit the Necropolis during our upcoming May visit to Rome. There has been no response other than the automatic "Receipt of your visit request". I have tried emailing: [email protected]
The response to that email is also an auto response with links to request reservations to various sites at the Vatican.
Does anyone have a different email that I can use to try to reach them, so I can determine the status of our request?
I do know that the Necropolis is closed on Thursday, May 14th for the Feast of the Assumption. Thank you fellow travelers.

I didn't receive an actual response denying my request (haha) until months later. I had wanted tickets near Christmas, so that was probably the reason viewing the Necropolis wasn't available.

I have also requested a reservation in May and received the Request Confirmation immediately, but nothing since. I hope you will update this thread when you hear anything. I plan to try to email them in a few weeks as well.

I applied for a tour for April 9 on January 21. Received a acknowledgement email. Will let you know how soon before my tour I received a voucher/ticket/email.

I sent yet another email inquiring about the status of our reservation request. It took a few days, but I did receive a reply that was not an automatic response. I was told to submit a new reservation request, which I did. Long story short....after 4 months of waiting, and multiple emails, we did receive tickets to the Necropolis for our upcoming visit to Rome. We are grateful to be able to take this tour.

Has anyone received any updates on their requests? I requested a tour for May 2026 back in January and only got the initial email for receipt of the request.
Also, what would be the email for inquiry? I sent one to inquire to [email protected], but only got a reply with the link for reservations.
