We will be travelling from Sorrento to Rome for 1 night prior to flying home. Instead of staying in the city or at an "airport hotel", can anyone recommend a town to overnight near Fuimicino Airport? Thanks

Hotel Tiber in the town of Fuimicino is about 10 mins by shuttle from the airport. Modern hotel with nice location on the Tiber river. Has a nice restaurant, roof top pool. Other restaurants nearby.

Granted you will be coming from Sorrento, but if one more beach town is to your liking, here is a list of places to consider...

I have also stayed at Hotel Tiber. It was half the cost of the airport Hilton and very pleasant.
