Hi all: We are planning 3 weeks in europe in 2014 - middle week being a cruise. We stop at civitavecchia, but we will not day trip to Rome since we will have spent 3 days there the first week. So I'm looking for something else to do that day. Found a water park "aquafelix" that we may go to. Then I happened to be looking at a map and saw Santa Marinella and then Santa Severa. Our main focus of the day would be to let the kids have some down time doing something they enjoy... how are the beaches at those 2 places? Looks like Santa Severa has a cool castle as well? Looks an easy train ride to SM or SS, right? Would love to squeeze tiny sightseeing into the "fun" day! :) Thanks for any advice!! Kim :) We will be there a weekday in early June.
You should go to North Baker's beach first, in the SF Presidio. There you'll find several nudists at the beach. If you can't handle that, Santa Severa may not be for you. It's probably the most famous naturist beach in Italy (although the nudist beach is not exactly in town).
Hmmmm... the part right near that castle is nudist? I don't mind if there are some nude folks, but I don't want everyone naked. :) Been to Baker beach but not quite far enough down to hit the nude part. :) Kim
Just checking in to see if anyone else has been? Or to the castle there - looks like they have a museum of some sort? Thanks!
Kim
