Navigating train from Genoa to Monterosso

We are flying from Amsterdam to Genoa in April 2020 and plan to take the train to Monterosso the same day. It looks like a long walk to the train station from the airport, about a mile. Has anyone done this? Also do we need to buy tickets ahead of time? It’ll be Tuesday April 21.

No need to buy train tickets ahead of time. That route is served by regional trains which don't sell out. You sit anywhere. You can take the Volabus from the airport to the train station. Consult the Genoa Airport website for more information
