I made advance reservations for the Uffizi. I've heard conflicting stories about getting around in there - is backtracking allowed? Is it allowed to go back down the stairs to the entrance, or to go outside and then come in again with my ticket? I'm supposed to be meeting people who have a
later reservation, so would find it helpful to find out in advance how to do that.
Thanks!
You can't leave the museum and go back in. Better to tell them to meet you in a certain room or corridor, such as the top of the stairs, corridor outside "Early Italian." See Rick's Uffizi map on the (Audio Tours page)[http://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/audio/audio-tours/italy] or in his Florence guidebook
That's very helpful - thanks.
