Hotel Pendini is a forum favorite
Florence is compact
Any hotel between the train station, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio will be convenient and safe
Can’t say we’ve ever stayed in a dirty hotel in Italy
What are you other requirements-budget? Amenities? Elevator?
