Naples train station to Naples Port

Hi everyone!
My wife and I are planning a 2 week Italy adventure and we are beyond excited. We plan to spend 3 nights in Sorrento and are taking a hydrofoil from Naples. What is the best option for travel from Naples train station (Napoli Centrale) to the main port (Molo Beverello Port)? We also plan to spend 3-4 hours in Naples to enjoy the food. Is there a place we could store our luggage close to the port?

Thanks so much. We appreciate all the help and advice.

There are a line of taxis in front of Napoli Centrale. Approach the one in the lead and tell them Beverello. I was there recently and was told that it was 20 euro (fixed price) but my driver agreed to do it for 15 and then ranted all the way there (about a five minute drive), so I gave him 20 to shut him up and give him a surprise for the day. There is also a bus if you have more time.

Thanks so much for the recommendation. I think a taxi is the easiest way to go. Any recommendations on places to store our luggage while we explore/eat in Naples? We arrive by train at 12PM and our ferry departs at 5:15PM.

Appreciate the advice.

The luggage storage facilities at Italian rail stations are managed by the Kibag company.
The website is below. Select the station (Napoli Centrale) for more info on hours and prices.

There are also other companies that you can use. Those companies partner with local hotels where you can leave your luggage during sightseeing.

There are several of them nationwide, like RadicalStorage, NannyBag, BagOff, StowYourBag, UseBounce, Stasher, etc. Just Google them and you’ll find them.

I suggest you store your luggage close to the port if you can find a place. We stayed in the train station area. To get to the port, you have to cross very large boulevards without traffic lights to help you. Locals walk out into the street, so that's what we did with them. If you can avoid having to do that multiple times going back and forth to Napoli Centrale, all the better.
