My family of five will be on a cruise visiting Naples in early April. Can someone recommend a guide to tour Pompeii, Positano and Sorrento? Thanks,

Elaine, Could you provide a bit of further information.... How much time will you have when the cruise docks in Naples? If you only have one day (ie: ships docks at 08:00, weighs anchor at 18:00) I really don't think you have time to see Pompeii, Positano and Sorrento. For an excellent tour of Pompeii, I would highly recommend Gaetano Manfredi (listed in the Guidebook, I believe). With a visit to Pompeii, you might want to include a visit to the Archeological Museum in Naples, as a lot of the artifacts from Pompeii are located there. Visiting both locations tends to "tie" the history together to some extent. It should be possible to tour the Museum, Pompeii and have a short look at Sorrento, but that's about all I would try in one day. Happy travels!
