We are considering flying out of Rome, after reading the reviews about Alitalia, which seems the only airline out of Naples. We will be in Naples, and need to catch a train out of Naples to Rome any suggestions about rail travel from Naples to Rome? Or would it be best to use a driver for this option?? Any recommendations for a good hotel to be at if we leave from Rome airport?
You have probably 20,30 trains a day from Naples to Rome so pick a time you like. The trains are all the same. Unless you have an extremely early flight from Rome, stay in the city and catch a taxi in the am. The airport is dull, boring, and expensive.
Be sure to be in Rome the night before your flight home. You never know if there will be issues with late trains or other things that may cause you to miss your flight. donna
