Naples to Positano

I am looking into the best way to get from the airport in Naples to our hotel in Positano in early July. Any thoughts?? On our way there we land around 12pm, so I am thinking the ferries might be our best bet. On our way back, we leave Naples airport at 6am so I am thinking a cab will be easiest. Your advice is appreciated!

Ferry port is a long taxi ride from airport also if weathr/seas are not calm there may not be a ferry scheduled. You could schedule a private driver, prob the easiest and most relaxing espec with jetlag.
Otherwise it is taxi to Naples train station , ride till Sorrento then bus to positano which could be very crowded as u will be there dduring peak season. Perhaps u could ck with your hotel in Positano for recs, or a pvt driver.
Therefore a pvt car is your best bet.

Btw, I also see that SorrentoCoastalshuttle.com has service for 35 europp to Positano.
Also realize much of Positano is carfree , hope u travel light.

There is a shuttle bus operated by Curreri Viaggi, which can take you from the airport to Sorrento for 10€.

Once in Sorrento there is a Sita bus to Amalfi that stops also in Positano.

Curreri Viaggi also provides a private car transfer service (same website above for info). I haven’t checked the cost, but I’m sure from NAP Airport to Positano is over 100€.

On the return trip, for a flight that early, if you are in Positano, a private car transfer is the only option. From Positano to NAP Airport is a 90 min drive. If your flight connects to a European destination you need to be at the airport about 75 min prior to departure.
