Looking for luch suggestions between Naples and Matera - even just a good Autogrille location would work. Also wondering which route would be best - north via the A16/E842 or south via the A2/A5. Thanks!

I have not driven this route, but since it is only a three hour drive, if you find yourself starving on arrival in Matera (as I have done), you might enjoy the headquarters cafe of Parco Regionale della Murgia Materana. They serve a bean soup that is absolutely delicious--seriously, we specifically went back there to eat on our second visit to Matera.
