Naples to Heathrow

Our RS tour ends in Naples. What is the best way to get to Heathrow? Naples to Heathrow or Naples to Milan to Heathrow? Naples to Rome to Heathrow? I prefer to fly.
Hopefully we will be on the RS Southern Italy tour in May.

If you can get a direct non stop flight that would be the best.
British Airways had a flight from NAP to LHR at least till the pandemic hit. That is the only non stop option to LHR.

Our return flight from Italy to the USA, through Heathrow, was from Rome, on an extremely early morning flight. If your tour ends after breakfast but your flight options from Naples don’t fit that schedule, you might have another day and night to spend in Naples, until the next available flight. But we took British Airways, and perhaps you’ll be looking at other airlines, too. And maybe you’re not flying to the USA right away, anyway.

We took the train from Naples in the early afternoon, and got off at Ostia Antica, just before Rome. We left our luggage at the entrance facility, and saw one last sight, the Ostia Antica ruins of the seaport of ancient Rome, staying until it closed for the day. Then a short taxi ride to the hotel at the Rome airport, where we spent the night, getting as much sleep as possible before that super early flight the next day.
