We are staying near the main train station in Naples. We will arrive just before noon, check into the hotel, then plan to visit the archeaology museum and do the Naples walking tour. The next day we plan to take the train to Pompeii for the day, then return to Naples. We fly out of the Naples airport early the next morning (8:50 AM). Is the Naples Artecard worth it for us (6 of us in all), or should we just pay for things as we use/see them? How much is the train RT to Pompeii?

The Circumvesuviana train is a couple of euros each way. Think of it as a on-ground subway. IF I remember, the Artecard gets you free into 2 sites and half price on others plus the transportation. So add them all up and see if it is a deal. My guess is that it would be a wash but the convenience of the included Naples bus/metro might make it worthwhile.
