Naples. Nativity scenes where to purchase

Looking forward to purchasing either a Nativity set or figures while in Naples. Can anyone recommend a particular store ? Did you carry home or ship? Thanks

Look on Via S Gregorio Armeno. The short touristy street is full of nativity sets and figurines. I did not buy any because I was trying to find paper mache figurines that match my parent’s set from the 50’s. Most of the figurines I saw in Naples looked coarsely made from clay.

Yep, horsewoofie is correct, that is where you will find them. I was not impressed with the quality either.

We bought a set for our daughter and husband as a wedding present. We carried it home. Also bought a couple ornaments.

We were fine with the quality but can’t remember exactly where we bought it. We just wandered around.

There are shops that sell high quality presepi and shops that sell cheap versions. Some shops may even sell both. Try to go into the alleyways and smaller workshops where you may find artists at work. I have a glass domed presepi with only the baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph that I purchased in the late 90s.

Here is a good article that gives some advice on how and where to buy figurines.
