We will be visiting the museum later this month. Will it be necessary (or highly recommended) to pre purchase tickets ahead of time online? Perhaps the que will be less of an issue this time of year?

Do you mean Cappella San Severo? If so, I went in late May with buy ahead tickets but there was almost no line if you wanted to buy immediate tickets. I have heard of long lines there, and they did have ropes set up for potential queues so it must happen. I do think Naples is busier in the summer with cruises and groups. My guess is that in late November in Naples you will be fine buying at the door. Obviously there are no guarantees so if you know your dates for sure then buying ahead could be a good idea.

Just buy them there (ticket office is around the corner actually). Even if there appears to be a line, Cappella San Serv is tiny. It’s a quick visit and the line will move fast.

Thanks so much for the advice! Along similar lines, is it safe to assume I can also wait to purchase our tickets for the Archaeological Museum?
