We arrive Naples via cruise ship.
We understand the Mergellina Station is walking distance. Our goal is to catch the Circumvesuviana Train to Pompeii and on to Sorrento. We understand that this train does not leave from Mergellina, but does from the Centrale Station, which I believe is also called Piazza Garibaldi Station? Does the train from Mergellina connect to the Centrale Station, so we can catch the Circumvesuviana Train?
Also, is there a way to get a boat/ferry to Capri from Sorrento, then back to Naples? Cost, how often do they run? -Many questions.

According to the timetables at www.bahn.de, there are four or five trains an hour between Mergellina and Centrale.

Thank you again, Tim for your time. I'll check out the second website you suggested for boats to Capri from Sorrento. Oh, also the first website you suggested for the train schedule from Mergellina to the Centrale station I didn't see an option for English, just in case you understand something I don't.
