We have one day in Naples courtesy of our cruise itinerary. Does anyone have any 1 day travel plans, or suggestions for must see attractions?

I would skip Naples and take the fast ferry from the port to the little island of Ischia. It is perfectly Italian, beautiful, relaxing, and just good for the soul. As you can tell, that little island holds a special place in my heart.

Naples is my least favorite city in Europe. In my opinion, there is only one pressing reason to go there, to see the Archaeological Museum, which houses, among other things, most of what has been salvaged from Pompeii. Admittedly, that is an important reason to visit. Knowing what I know now, I would have devoted just one day to Naples; and that's what you have. Perfect!
