Our last night in Italy will be spent in Naples due to a very early morning flight out. Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice hotel in a safe, centrally located area? I have read some good reviews on TripAdvisor but am not sure about the different areas.

Not sure of your budget, but 3 years ago we stayed at the Renaissance which was centrally located. Its not a 5 star hotel - but a decent one.
We too had an early morning flight. The issue we had was that we were at the mercy of the cab drivers - they wouldn't negotiate since they knew we had to get there - I believe we paid 25-30 euros to get to the airport. You may want to arrange for this the previous night.

Thanks for that info. We have booked a room at the Hotel Piazza Bellini, which appears to have received good reviews on Trip Advisor. If anyone has had any experience w/ this hotel, please let me know whether it was a positive one. They did indicate that they could arrange for a taxi for us to the airport so hopefully we won't get "ripped off".

The taxi rates are set by the city of Naples to the airport...I've never had an driver try to rip me off there to the airport and they always give me an official receipt. (and it's not expensive - maybe 15euro? can't remember...not enough for me to remember means it was not significant!)
