Half day in Naples first week March

We are traveling South by train from Rome early morning in early March. Sorrento/Positano/Amalfi will be our homebase( to be determined). We would like to spend half day or so in Naples before continuing South. What are your suggestions on where and how to spend these hours in Naples. Thank you.

First, plan where you want to store your luggage.
Do you have a guidebook for Naples?
We enjoyed Naples on our last trip there. The archeological museum should be high on your list, and a pizza lunch. We stayed by the waterfront in the Chiaia neighborhood and enjoyed being there.

If Pompeii/Herculaneum are on your itinerary, then I'd highly recommend the Archeological Museum in Naples.

My half day in Naples was spent mostly wandering around and it was fantastic. In Naples, it’s all happening out on the streets, so that’s where you ought to be too. See the Archeological Museum for sure (don’t miss the Farnese marbles) and grab a pizza. Almost anyplace can be counted on to make a phenomenal pizza.
