At the top of the funiculars in Naples, is one within a short walk, maybe 300 yards, to a public overlook of the city?
I was staying at a hotel in the Galleria Umberto and took the nearby Augusteo funicular and then had a 10 minute walk to Castel Sant’Elmo for fantastic views of the city, Bay ofNaples, Capri and Vesuvius. Might be a little more than 300 yards but what a fantastic view! Don’t miss it.
I don’t know the names of the lines, but definitely the best view over Naples is from Castel Sant’ Elmo.
Bring some little binoculars.
Thanks; this is exactly what I was asking for.

I don't know about the funiculars, but there's a wonderful view of the entire bay from the Certosa di San Martino (convent of San Martino) which is perched high on a hill. It's totally worth seeing on its own (even if it had no view) when in Naples.
