Naples day trip to a beach - late July Mid-Week Ischia or Procida?

Hello - we are in Naples for a week and have one free day and we are looking for a relaxing beach day. We are staying near the port so looking at taking a ferry from Naples to either Ischia or Procida for the day. A beach club on either island works great and we can make sunbed/umbrella reservations in advance if needed - best would be easy to get too when we disembark in Ischia or Procida perhaps even walking distance? Since both islands seem to have frequent ferries - we were planning on buying the ferry tickets out the night before and would prefer to buy the return ticket back to Naples when we are ready to come home - assuming they will not sell out and leave us stranded on one of these beautiful islands. Any suggestions welcome and thanks in advance for your help.

If you are looking for a beach, the one at Miseno or Miliscola (in the mainland) is the best sandy beach near Naples.

If you want to see the islands for the sake of seeing the islands, then it's another matter, but Procida is for sure rocky. Ischia has a few kind of narrow pebbly beaches, like Chiaia or Maronti.

Thanks - we were thinking one of the islands since our hotel in Naples is near the ferry - easier for us to get too and pleasant trip to get there - I have noticed that there are a few beach clubs on both of these islands - also do we need a beach club reservation in advance - any recommendations welcome

We had a most fantastic day at NEGOMBO on Ischia.....it's a paradise. unlike anything I'd ever experienced before..not only. beautiful beach in a cove but so many pools, spa...just fantastic. Bring your own towels..they charge a lot for rentals..

The bus stops just up the hill from the park....you will get the bus at whichever port you arrive at on the island..

Highest recommendation.!!
