Naples-area Food Tour

Hi travelers,
Searching for something different/offbeat in a food tour in the Naples area. Nothing against the large company tours (Devour, Culinary Backstreets, etc.) - I've done and enjoyed. I've no interest in a cooking class, but fine with visiting open markets (especially fish markets). Any ideas for resources to track something down?
Appreciate it!

hey hey beegoode
a few options for you to check out and see if it suits your fancy. years ago we took a day trip to naples from rome, one of my favorite and crazy trips. yes it was gritty, garbage/strikes around but that's naples. not many visited back then and people would ask "why?" nowdays many posters are visiting and asking "who, what, where, when, how".
so much security/cops/army tanks/guns & rifles on patrol. i was very careful taking a picture of it, stopped near the piazza near water at outside cafe to have an appetizer & drink, people watch. it was great and we laughed so much on the train back to rome.

mercato di porto nolana (fish market) and la pignasecca market
with the many markets i loved walking thru: go early, bring a bag if buying, gets loud and sometimes chaotic, lots of different smells, understand italian? take with hands LOL, take pictures and just enjoy roaming around.
we always stayed in an apartment and bought "goodies" for breakfast, appetizers for our own "happy hour" at apt, even something simple for dinner. one of my favorite things to see and do are the markets. enjoy & have a great trip
