On a cruise stop in Naples for the 4th time, we have done Capri, Pompeii and Naples looking for suggestions on things to see or do?

If you have the time, you could take a fast ferry to Sorrento. Sorrento is a very fun place to spend a day. If you haven't seen Herculaneum, you could go there. Another thought might be the National Archeological Museum in Naples, which contains most of the artifacts unearthed in Pompeii.

Sorrento. It's beautiful. And you can stop at Herculaneum on the way. It's very interesting, and has a completely different feel from Pompeii.

Sorrento is beautiful at sunset when the Bay of Naples lights up. Otherwise it is a hub for those of us tourists who use it as a base camp to see Amalfi, Pompeii etc. From Naples you might enjoy the boat to Procida a small island and the larger Ischia which at the port is touristy but away from the port it is interesting with spas and beaches.

Another vote for Sorrento. Have been there 3 times, a week each time, and can never get enough of it. Love it.

If you have not done the drive along the Amalfi Coast, I'd suggest doing that IF your cruise ship offers an excursion for that. I would not suggest trying to catch a bus or a private driver on your own for that, unless you are going at a slow time. But, a drive from Naples to Ravello would be lovely. And, if the weather is good and your excursion offers a boat back, that provides a different angle to admire the coast. Have fun.
