Naples airport to Salerno via Archeological Museum

We are hoping to fit a 2 - 2 1/2 hour visit of the museum into our travel plans. Arriving at airport from Venice at 9:50 and collecting a couple of roller bags. From there we would like to go to the Archeological Museum before boarding train to Salerno which leaves at 13:35. This will happen on a Thursday in early May. Thank you.
Questions:
1. Is there left luggage at the museum?
2. Is taxi the best way to get there quickly?
3. What is the best way from museum to train station? Metro or Taxi?
4. Depending on chosen methods of travel, what are these travel times within Naples?
5. Should we purchase Campaniartecard if we are planning to visit Paestum on another day via train?
6. Is this card accepted on the bus to and from Salerno to Amalfi (town)?
Thank you

I'll answer what I can.
1. There are small lockers and a few medium lockers at the museum. It sounds like you are checking your bags for your flight. If they are too large for carry-on, chances are they will be too large for the lockers at the museum. There is luggage storage at the train station.
3. metro.
4. depends on traffic, which can be incredibly slow in parts of Naples, including the area around the train station. Maybe not too bad mid-morning though.

I know there is a check room at the museum and I saw visitors checking small roller bags. With luggage and two people, the most convenient and fastest way to get to the museum and to Napoli Centrale would be by cab. It’s a fixed rate from the airport to downtown Naples so make sure you find out the fare before choosing a cab. From the airport to the museum should take less than 20 minutes, and 15 minutes to the rail station.

There are many different ArteCards, each with a specific menu of benefits. If you are only visiting the museum and Paestum, I don’t think you’d benefit by buying one. Bus transportation is inexpensive and from Amalfi, consider taking the bus up to Ravello which is spectacular. If taking the train to Paestum, be aware that to get from the small rail station to the archaeological site and museum, it’s about a pleasant 15 minute stroll. I don’t think there’s any taxi service.

Thank for replies. I guess to be sure about the bags we could take the Alibus shuttle to Centrale train station. We would store our bags there and then take the metro to the museum and then back as well. Does the Linea 2 run frequently between these destinations? I can see we might have a short wait for the Alibus. Hoping to have 2 hours in the museum at a minimum.
