Naples airport to Ravello

Hi we are coming from Rome arriving by train into Naples in August and then need to travel to Ravello. Any suggestions for the easiest way for 3 people to get there. We do not want to drive ourselves. Sounds too scary! Thanks

Get to Sorrento either by ferry or circumvesuvia or bus, then transfer to the SITA buses to AMALFI. There you transfer to another SITA bus to Ravello.

The road is so much fun, if you get carsick sit in the front of the bus or avoid all together and get a private car service.

It depends on your comfort level with public transportation, etc. We hired a private driver through our hotel and that was some of the best money we spent. When we arrived at the Naples train station, he was holding up a sign with our last name on it. It was wonderful to ride in air-conditioned comfort, be able to take in the scenery, and be delivered to the door of our hotel in Ravello!

3 people, take a car service if it fits your budget about 80-110 Euros I believe...it is the fastest most direct way....otherwise you can do a number of things, bus...but you have to get to the bus stop, which is not near Naples Centrale, which will cost about 30 Euros plus he 10 -12 Euro taxi ride to the bus...so a direct taxi would be my choice.

When I traveled to Positano it was from Capri by ferry, and the ferries stopped running by the time I had to return to Naples so we took a local bus to Sorrento and train to Naples...it was a bummer even in the slower October season...so I don't recommend it.

Arrive Naples centrale, purchase tickets for the Campania Express.

follow signs downstairs.

Arrive Sorrento, shuttle bus to port. Ferry to Amalfi. Bus to Ravello. Time around 2 1/2 hrs
Not including wait time.

With three of you, it would make more sense to hire a private driver. 95-125 E.
Time under 1 1/2 hrs.

The "easiest" for 3 of you will definitely be by hired car service. Ravello - not being right on the coast - doesn't have the option of ferry service, and it's also sort of mid-point between the two big transport hubs (Sorrento and Salerno) so takes a bit more time and effort to get to than some other locations.

Note that your Subject Line says airport. Call or email your hotel to recommend a car service. Give them your Train Number and times. It's likely to be 125 Euros, but of course, ask the price!

Thanks so much for your replies. I am so amazed how small the world seems with such quick and informative replies. Makes us not feel so far away as from New Zealand and my first trip for 33 years!
