Our friends are departing Italy from Naples airport to Edinburgh. They are wondering about the size of the airport and how much time they should arrive before departure? Also, approx. how long does it take to travel in a taxi from Napoli Centrale area hotel to the airport? Many thanks in advance for any advice/experience that you may offer. Sherry

Naples is a small airport. One of the busiest days is Friday which is the usual changeover day for Brits holidaying in Sorrento. Take their airline's advice on check -in times. After security they will have to go through passport control to get to their gate because there is a separate gate area for travellers to non Schengen destinations. They need to allow time for this because it is not continously staffed and they may have to hang around until someone turns up to let them through.
