i want to get a car transfer from Naples Airport to my Sorrento hotel. Some of the posts on this subject are several years old. I will be travelling alone and would like to spend around $150.00 if possible on a comfortable transfer. Many of these companies will charge me a higher price because I am only one person or they price the ride as if at least two or more people would share the expense.
I am in my 70's, my walking strength is fine but I have a problem arm. So lifting luggage is a challenge. I saw the company "Welcome Pickups." They seemed to be more reasonable. Have you heard of this company? Do you have other car transfer company suggestions?
Thanks
We used Aldo Limos to get from Naples to our Sorrento hotel. This company was very professional and dependable. Christina, in the office, is a Brit, so email communication was easy . Good luck and have a great trip!
Another vote for Aldo Limos. We’ve used them 3 times, friends have used them - they’re easy to reach and totally reliable.
This site --- https://www.suntransfers.com/ -- shows the cost at 129 euro for 'up to 3 passengers'
If nothing else it gives you a starting point on price
I have used Welcome Pickups in Spain a couple of times and they were reliable, nice cars, very clean and the drivers were smart and polite/helpful.
We used this local company for transfers in the AC area

Did you use sun transfers.
I looked up Top Excursions Sorrento and for one person in June it was about 200 euro. I requested a quote for Aldo Limos and am waiting for their response.
FYI
There is a bus direct from NAP to Sorrento

No.
Have seen positive comments by others here about it.
When I went to Sorrento I had a rental car as we were going onward to remote ancestral villages.
I don't mean to say that this is my recommendation, but there is a fixed-rate TAXI sheet for Naples. Drivers do tend to try to tack on, say, luggage fees which the sheet says are INCLUDED with fixed-rate trips. So you need to carry a copy to wave in the driver's face.

In fairness, you suggest that you are a cautious, quiet traveler, let's say. Our big Sorrento hotel had a land-services partner. And when I need an airport pickup anywhere, I always ask my hotel if they have a car service. I assume that when it's a "partner", they have an incentive to do a good job, and wouldn't dare to change the prearranged price! Indeed, our trips from the Grand Ambasciatori (including 8 hours on the Amalfi Coast, driver but no guide) could be charged to our HOTEL bill!
BTW, a scan of rate cards we saw at the Sorrento Circumvesuviana station showed that RIck's favorite taxi company was NOT the low bidder. But we felt overcharged for the less than half-mile to the Ambasciatori by another cab. 15 Euros, about 10 years ago.
This thread with a post by me names the company involved:

Have you heard of See Amalfi Coast Private Tours? There are many tour companies with similar names that begin with See Amalfi Coast but this one is See Amalfi Coast Private Tours.
Thanks
