What is the name of the small walled town in the NW of Italy that starts w/ a G. I thought it was Guern (1 name in Italian and a similar one in German?) Also, does anyone know the name of the hotel right inside the walled town's gate? Thank you, can not find it online or on a map. BG

Ciao Barbara, Glurns or Glorenza, the charming walled village? If so, we stayed at the Hotel Post in 2008. The accomodations were excellent as was the quality and quanity of food (we traveled with our 2 teenage boys). We knew that we had arrived at a very special place, when the owner had to search for a menu in English and the only english that was heard was by a Brit. Passo Stevio is very close by, stunning views, but not for the faint of heart!. Cordiali Saluti,
