Does anyone know if Italy has nail salons? I have not been in a few years and over the years I have never seen one. But last year in England they were on every corner. We are going to be in Italy for a few weeks and one of my friend asked, because it would be nice to get a fresh manicure half way through the trip.

When is the last time you went to Italy? During the Middle Ages? There were manicure and pedicure in Florence when I was growing up and I'm no spring chicken.
Go to:
www.paginegialle.it (that's the Yellow pages)
Enter: MANICURE E PEDICURE in the category box (yes in Italian they also use the French words for it).
Then enter the City you are interested in (use Italian name, such as Firenze for Florence, Roma for Rome etc).
Et voila'. Plenty of entries.

Thanks Roberto. Last time I was in Italy was 2008 and maybe oblivious but really never saw one. It is kind of like hearing about a restaurant and walking round and round and never finding it. Lots of distraction in a foreign country.
