MyPompeiiCard

Going to Pompeii next month, Sept. 2024, and looking to buy the MyPompeiiCard.
First, does anyone know if this can be bought at the site? The reason I ask this is when I attempted to buy it through ticketone it says it is valid starting from 01/01/2025. It does not allow me to change the date for this year. I have written to ticketone, but as of yet received no response. I do not want to buy the card and find out it is not valid for when we are there.
Any and all info on the MyPompeiiCard is appreciated.

Thank you!

Cage, I've not been able to dig up any info on purchasing the pass onsite but I am curious why you wouldn't just go with the three-day ticket if you only have 2 days at Pompeii (I picked that info up from one of your previous posts)?

"Will be arriving on train from Salerno to Pompei Station on Viale G Mazzini, on Sunday, September 8 about 12 noon for 2 days at Pompeii...."

I looked at the English language website, and could not find any statement like "EU Citizens Only". But I would at least scan the Italian site to see if there is a hint of that. I don't see how they could offer an annual card that costs less than the tourism 5-site card. The big difference I can see is that all other forms of admission do not allow re-admission the same day. But that is rarely a tourist need anyway. If I were staying at a hotel within walking distance of Pompeii Scavi (... not recommending this ... ), it would be a valuable option, if it is not excluded by the annual pass (MyPompeiiCard) rules.

We used the 5-site card, which does have a relatively short period of validity, maybe it was 3 days. But we were sleeping five nights in Sorrento anyway. Circumvesuviana was a Euro or two back then.

To answer questions, we are in Pompei town for 5 days with a trip to Naples on Tuesday. We want to go to Pompeii twice and the 3 day pass only allows one admission to each site during those days. The MyPompeiiCard allows us to go when and where we want, including leaving for lunch and going back in. The convenience is worth the extra few Euros it may cost.
Tim, I will check the part about EU Citizens, that is important.
