My Way Italy Tour

Whitney, Yes, I have taken a My Way tour (as well as many regular tours). All tours tend to use the same hotels, so the "amenities" don't change based on the type of tour. The towels provided will be whatever the hotel normally supplies with each room, regardless of whether the room is rented to a tourist or a tour member. European hotels are quite environmentally conscious these days, so the typical routine is that if you want the towels replaced each day, toss them on the floor. If you want to re-use them, hang them up. Given your location, you might find it helpful to take the short drive up to Edmonds and have a chat with Rick's travel experts in the Tour department. I'm trying to think when the last time was that I had two bath towels person in a European hotel. Nope. You can always ask the desk for another and I'm sure they'd find one. If you get the very thin linen tea towel looking one at some hotels don't knock it until you have tried it. They look like they wouldn't knock 2 drops off together but they work surprisingly well.

I've been on many RS tours thru the years and I think that the hotels more recently are really very very nice and sometimes elegant. (compared to the older tours) - I did the MyWay in Sept and all the hotels were wonderful. Towels and all amenities were readily available.
More towels were avail. for the asking. As mentioned above - if you want to use the towel again - hang it on the rack, if you want new towels - toss them on the floor. Enjoy your MyWay - I LOVED IT !!!!!

Whitney you may find many hotels in Europe , regardless of tour or not.. will give you one bath towel, and one smaller towel.. its not a hardship .. You can ask for more. I have only done one RS tour and loved it, and I seriously doubt they use hotels that are less pleasant on the My Way Tours then regular tours.
\I do think if towel quality and quanity is a worry to you that you should set you mind to accept hotels in Europe are going to be different then north American. Rooms are smaller etc.. but millions of people think they are just fine, and so do I ! Rick Steves tours and travel style doesn't focus heavily on hotel amenities, he promotes and uses clean budget to moderate style hotels and figures people should focus more on enjoying Europe , the people the culture and the sights..
