Looking to take my family on this tour. I have a grandson who will be 9. Does anyone know if they make accommodations for 3 in a room? Are kids even welcome????
These are good questions to ask the Rick Steves company directly (the Forum is mostly covered by travel-loving volunteers). If you look at the blue bar at the bottom of the page, you'll see ways to contact the company.
According to the FAQ section, children 8 and older are welcome on all My Way tours.

What is the age range of kids on these tours?
Families with kids 8 and older are welcome on our Family Europe: London to Florence in 13 Days tour, Family Europe: Amsterdam to Rome in 14 Days tour, and on all Rick Steves My Way® vacations. Teens are welcome on all Rick Steves tours.
And yes, there are family rooms which can accommodate 3.
"We have limited triple and single supplement rooms available as well. Our tour hotels will try to keep family members near one another as much as possible."
Hi I would call them directly and confirm each stop will have family rooms that can have three people. My daughter went on her first RS tour best of Paris at 10 and loved it. We did check to see she could go since she was under the age listed.
