My son wants to drive Ferarri on the track.

Going to Marenello and Modena. My son (40) wants to drive on the track. A lot of vendors to chose from. Anyone do this before?

have no idea. When I was in Paris you could rent a Ferrari to drive up and down the Champs-Élysées for a ridiculous fee and you would never get above 35mph on that stretch. what fun

I don't think you can at the factory circuit of Maranello.

There are other companies that offer that kind of thrill, however they do so in other circuits. The closest to Modena is probably the Imola circuit between Bologna and Cesena (Imola circuit is where they host the Formula 1 Grand Prix of San Marino) or at the Mugello (between Bologna and Florence - A1 exit: Barberino del Mugello).

For 3,000 euro you can even drive a Ferrari Formula 1 for 3 laps.

The track in Maranello is named Fiorano, and it is Ferrari's test track, so it is often in use for this purpose. To the best of my knowledge, unless you own a Ferrari and pony up many Euros, you won't be flying around Fiorano. There are many places that will let you tool around Maranello behind the wheel of a Ferrari or (sacrilege!) a Lamborghini--people selling this will find you while you're walking around between the factory entrance and the museum in Maranello, don't worry. Or follow Roberto's advice and look for track time at Imola or Mugello.
