My Options to See Last Supper in Milan

Option #1 - Land in Milan Malpensa at 12:15 PM (Non-stop from JFK) and can book the LS tour that is at 4:30 PM. We'd need to get bags, clear customer and check into Hotel first. We will have a driver from Malpensa to Hotel. Am I leaving enough time? Any chance we'd miss the tour. Seems like a lot of time, but I do understand things can go wrong.

Option #2 - There is a tour at 11:45am the next day that include an art tour ending with LS tour. The tour is 2 hours and LS is last part starting at 1:30. My only timing issue here is that we'd need to be on the 15:20 Trentitalia train to Florence that we already booked.

Thoughts?? The art tour sounds like a lot of fun and might be the one I prefer.

I think you're making the assumption with option 1 that everything goes perfectly, and even then it seems tight. This past summer we had tickets for the Last Supper at 4:00pm with a 8:40AM arrival at Malpensa. When we left home, the flight from Newark to Malpensa was delayed. When we landed at Newark, it was cancelled. We ended up getting a flight to Venice and then a train back to Milan and actually made it to the last supper. The point is that stuff happens.

If your appointment for the Last Supper is at 1:30, you will be out of the church by 2:30 at the latest, 2:00 at the earliest. That gives you about 1-1.5 hours to get to the train station, but where will your luggage be?

I'd feel more comfortable with the second option. Good question about the luggage. If you had easy access it should work for you.

I thought I assumed the LS past of the art tour was only 15 Minutes. The tour lists total tour time as 2 Hours, and LS Entry as Finale at 1:30. The luggage will most likely stay at bell desk at Hotel. Someone recommended taking to Centrale to store there.

You have 15 minutes in the room with the painting, another 15 or so beforehand, while your group's tickets are checked and you go through a "clean air" process, then you have to get back to whatever transportation you will take back to your hotel.
