We will be arriving in Rome May 1st & want to spend a few days in Positano & Amalfi before meeting our daughter & son-in-law in Rome to travel to Cortona in Tuscany. I am trying to get us from the Fiumicino airport to the Amalfi Coast. After searching the web, it appears the only way to get there by rail is to take the airport express train to Termini Central & from there to Napoli Central & from there to Salerno. I need to know if this is correct of if there is a better way to get there.
You can also get there by bus from Sorrento (that's how I did it)

Thanks for the information.
And you could take a ferry from Naples to Positano. When you are at Salerno you are at the other end of the coast from Positano. So that becomes either a long bus ride or a ferry. It is not quick or easy to get to he Amalfi coast
