My Best Tour - looking for reassurance

Trying to book a golf cart tour and thus far am underwhelmed with the interaction - they seem very curt and disinterested in answering basic questions (we've used Angel Tours in years past but reviews of My Best Tours were so good thought we'd give this a go.) Are the tours better than the office staff? They say there are two ways to book (send an email, get a confirmation code and use paypal, or book online and pay through fare harbor which will then charge a 20 euro fee - when I pointed that out they kept trying to push me to fare harbor and said well I guess there's a small fee - such a weird response.) Has anyone had this experience but then had a great tour?

Hi Marisa, I haven’t used this company, but I would just advise to trust your gut. If something doesn’t feel right, go with one that you know. I just did a quick look at the reviews of this one, and I see a couple of “edited reviews” which can mean that they didn’t like the review and it was changed. Also, some of the other reviews just sound fake with the plethora of descriptions that people don’t usually write about this level of a tour.

I’ve also had several booked activities in Italy that route through fareharbor, and there hasn’t been an upcharge, so that sounds very odd.

Thank you Jean - you helped me feel like I wasn't being paranoid :) We booked with Angel Tours...this will be the fourth time and they're even picking up at the hotel (which isn't a service they list, as it was on Best Tours) with no charge as we're returning customers. Will report back about the experience :)

To clarify the booking process for you and anyone else reading: we offer two ways to book precisely to give our guests choices. Booking online via FareHarbor is very convenient for many, but as a third-party platform, they do apply their own booking fee (which goes to them, not us). To help our guests avoid this extra cost, we also offer the option to book directly via email and pay securely through PayPal. We deeply apologize if whoever you spoke with did not explain this clearly or seemed to push you toward the platform with the fee—that is absolutely not our policy.

We also want to reassure you that the glowing reviews you have read on Google and other platforms are 100% genuine, written by very real and incredibly satisfied guests. While less-than-perfect experiences are extremely rare for us, we know we aren't perfect. When misunderstandings do happen, we always strive to be available, listen, and make things right.
