When I look at Rome to Rio website it is suggesting TRAIN is that easy to use withBags -- other sugestions
or is that the best--
and should I wait to buy tickets for that?

IMO, the easiest and quickest route from MXP to Miilano Centrale is the Malpensa Express (train) - https://www.malpensaexpress.it/en/ . I believe Vueling uses MXP Terminal 1. The Malpensa Express travels to both Milano Centrale and Milano Cadorna, so you'll have to decide with station is closest to your hotel. Be sure to board the correct train for the destination you choose.
I wouldn't bother buying advance tickets as there's no price advantage and they're easy to buy once you arrive there. I normally buy tickets at the self service kiosk. If you do that, be sure to validate the ticket in the machine before you board the train.

If you want to Leonardo's "Last Supper" you need advance tickets and they can be hard to get. Work around is to book a walking tour that includes it.

It's difficult to recommend "things to buy tickets" for without having some idea of your interests and what you want to see. I second the suggestion from the previous reply to consider The Last Supper.
You might find it helpful to have a look at a copy of the Rick Steves Italy guidebook, as that has lots of ideas.
