Music Festival in Lucca in July

Does anyone know if the Toscana Music Festival is on? We plan to be in Lucca in July, if permitted to enter Italy, and I am wondering if I am delusional for thinking that (1) the festival is on; and, (2) that we will even be allowed into Italy. Does anyone know anything? Gracie mille.

Bradley, I'm afraid no one here can tell you definitively at this time whether Americans will or won't be allowed into Italy in July. It's a wait-and-see. Trust me, if the gates to Italy open for us Yanks, it'll be big news on the forum!

As far as the festival, it appears the dates are being held but whether it'll actually happen is very likely also a wait-and-see. If it happens, it's scheduled to occur in nearby Montecatini Terme and not Lucca. Some links...

Editing to add, Bradley, someone else had a very recent, very similar question regarding entry to Italy this summer.

And, from one of your former posts, I see you were planning on a stay in Monticantini Terme anyway:

The next day we are then driving to Montecatini Terme (from Lucca) in the late
afternoon in our Fiat Cinquecento and staying there for 4 nights.

You also say, in another post, that, "I enjoy driving but I don't think I will ever rent a car in Italy again." so I'm not real sure HOW you intend to get there but no matter, you can also do it via public transit so no problem. :O)

Thanks. This trip has been fully planned. I suppose we should just be grateful for our good health and hope for the best.
