When booking online, is your credit card charged in euros or US dollars? I've never done that before and could use some advice.
I noticed for the Uffizi and Accademia, no morning hours are listed online. Can you book for morning by calling? Also, Rick suggests a reservation might be handy for the Accademia in Venice--has anyone felt the need to do so? Thanks.
Your credit card is always charged in the local currency. Some merchants may offer to charge your card in dollars. Insist on local currency. Otherwise it borders on a rip off in that you will receive a poor exchange rate and still charged the currency conversion fee by your credit card company. In Florence we had the hotel book our reservations. Worked well.
http://en.uffizi-com.waf.it/museo_dett/27-state-museums/3175-uffizi-tickets-reservation.html Copy-paste this web site, they have tickets for all hours. (or at least when I went). You can purchase for most of the museums in Florence. Good luck.
