I've been wandering around on Google Maps trying to figure out where the entrance to the museum (the monks' cells, Fra Angelicos, etc.) is. Is it simply through the churchy-looking facade that faces the Piazza San Marco?
Yes. Either the main door in the center, or one of the other doors just beside, left and right.
We went last year, and if my memory serves me well, it’s the main door.
It's usually the door on the right side of the facade, not the large doors in the center of the facade. It will be evident when you get there.
Very helpful, thanks!
We were in Florence last week. The big central doors are to the church of San Marco itself. We found it worth a quick visit. The doors to the museum are to the right as you face the front of the church.
