Murano vs. Burano

I will be visiting Venice in early June and was wondering which is better to make time for-Murano or Burano. We don't care about buying any glass stuff etc. but are interested in seeing a different area around Venice and a little different vibe. Thanks!

China, I have been to both Murano and Burano and thought both were worthwhile. However, of the two, I found Burano more charming. The houses are vibrantly painted and there are lots of cute shops to poke your head into. We sat at a sidewalk table and enjoyed some refreshments and watched people for a while. Loved just walking the town.

China,

I vote for Burano! (Although Murano is a much shorter vap ride). My daytrip to Burano was one of my favorite memories of my entire trip. It is just picturesque, with rows of brightly colored houses. I strayed from the main strip and walked in the neighborhoods, which I would really recommend. I took lots of pictures in Burano and have some really good memories. In my opinion, it was aesthetically more pleasing than Murano, more quaint, and I saw a lot more locals. If you have time, it's a great trip.
