Is anyone familiar with this farm? It looks like it is near Paestum and I would like to make a day trip of visiting Paestum and the farm. I'm not sure which is the closest train station to get to the farm- can anyone help? Or has anyone been to the farm and can recommend a visit? Thanks.
I have not been to the farm but am planning a trip to Paestum this October and have been doing some research. It seems that without a car Tenuta Vannulo would be difficult to get to from Paestum. I did however find a farm within walking distance to the train station and temples in Paestum. It is called Caseificio Barlotti. www.barlotti.it They offer tours and also have a trattoria. I would be interested if anyone has been there and their thoughts.
I think a lot of people either drive to Tenuta Vannulo or get a private driver or taxi. Paestum train station is closest, but I would not count on getting a taxi there without a phone call at least.
I came by train and after visiting Paestum walked around the ring road to Barlotti and enjoyed a loaf of bread and some bufala mozzarella and artichokes (they have some picnic tables and arbors set up outside).
The water buffalo spa! I can highly and heartily recommend a visit, having experienced it while on a RST. Hands down a deliciously incredible operation, in every way possible. Who knew listening to Mozart produces sweeter milk? Infinity thumbs up for a visit.
I don't know where you're staying, this tour leaves from both Positano and Amalfi.

I'm not sure which farm they visit, but I'd think Tenuta Vannulo since it's the largest and well set up for tours.
We visited last year, as Theresa stated it's a Buffalo Spa. As a former 150 head Angus producer I was absolutely amazed at the farm facilities and the care of their stock.
Anyone who has kids should visit here. It's a true farm to table experience.
Edit. At Paestum Museum, they may be able to call a taxi for you to take you to Vannulo.
It's a short ride.

Thanks so much for the replies!! I looked at Barlotti online and it looks like a good possibility. I'm not sure which farm is better to visit, but it seems like both are doable.
